Dr. Walker is Professor of Practice for the CASAL (Counseling, Administration, Supervision, and Adult Learning) Department at Cleveland State University.  In her role as Professor of Practice, she serves as a teacher and advisor for Masters and Doctorate students in school administration. She also assists the Center for Educational Leadership as an instructor; Coach for the Institute for Premier Leadership; and assists with the Education Policy Fellowship Program. Dr. Walker has thirty years experience in secondary education including nine years as a business teacher and gymnastics coach and 21 years as a high school administrator.  During her high school administration experience she served:  Riverside Local (Assistant Principal), Mentor High School (Unit Principal), Bedford High School (Principal), and Avon Lake High School (Principal). 

Dr. Walker is an active member of OASSA (Ohio Association of School Administrators) and NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Administrators) where she has been a conference presenter on a variety of topics for Aspiring Administrator¿s, Assistant Principals, and Principals.  She has her Superintendent's license and is both OTES and OPES trained.  She is trained in Marzano's Art & Science of Teaching and Rick and Beck Dufour's Professional Learning Communities.

Dr. Elice E. Rogers is a Cyril O. Houle Scholar in the field of Adult Education and Associate Professor of Adult Learning and Development at Cleveland State University.  Rogers is recognized by the Kellogg Foundation as a national/international scholar in her field. Dr. Rogers is currently working on her third book, entitled Profiles of African American women in politics. Dr. Rogers serves the field of adult education on the local, national, and international level.  She is currently member of two editorial boards within the field of adult education and she completed elected terms as Steering Committee Member of the National Adult Education Research Conference (2002-2004) and Executive Member of the National Commission of Professors of Adult Education (2004-2006).  She is the recipient of many awards and honors to include: The Rada Distinguished Alumni Award (University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, 2008), The Multicultural Alumni Award (University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, 2006) and Women Who Make A Difference Award (Cleveland State University, 2005).  

Dr. Rogers is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa (since 1996), a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority (since 1982) and Kappa Delta Pi (since 1995).  She is a member of The Ohio Association For Adult and Continuing Education (since 2000), a member of the Commission of Professors of Adult Education (since 1998), and a member of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (since 1995). Dr. Wendy Green

Dr. Wendy Green specializes in the area of learning and development with additional expertise in organizational culture and diversity.  She works as an Assistant Professor at Cleveland State University in the College of Education and Human Services and teaches in the medical education for health professionals and adult learning and development master's programs.  Current research is focused on the role of social identity affinity groups in higher education.  She is also investigating the role of communities of practice as they relate to social capital in Western mountain regions of Uganda.  Past research has included an examination of the role of employee networks in a for-profit organization, particularly how they intersected with the organization's culture and facilitated learning, engaged in advocacy, and created social networks.  In addition, she works as a consultant in the areas of organizational culture, diversity, and international medical education.  Dr. Green earned a PhD and MS in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a MS in Human Resource Development from Florida International University.

Dr. Catherine A. Hansman is Professor of Adult Learning and Development(ALD) at Cleveland State University. She directed and was the program coordinator of the graduate programs in Adult Learning and Development from 1998 to 2007.  She is a Cyril O. Houle Emerging Scholars in Adult and Continuing Education Scholarship recipient.Dr. Hansman's research interests include issues of gender, race and class, adult learning in various contexts, learning in mentoring relationships, and communities of practice in higher education and workplace contexts.  Her research interests are reflected in the two books she has edited, Understanding and Negotiating the Political Landscape of Adult Education (with Peggy Sissel), and Critical Perspectives on Mentoring:  Trends and Issues, and in the invited book chapters and articles published in various journals, such as Adult Education Quarterly, Adult Learning, Journal of Adult Basic Education, and Journal of Excellence on College Teaching. She served as chair of the Commission of Professors of Adult Education, from 2004-2006 and also served on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE).  She chaired the 2009 annual conference of AAACE as President-Elect, and she currently is the President of AAACE.

Dr. Jonathan E. Messemer is currently an Associate Professor of Adult Learning and Development at Cleveland State University.  Dr. Messemer has served on the graduate faculty in the College of Education and Human Services since 2006. He previously served as the Program Coordinator for the Adult Learning and Development Master's Degree Program.  Dr. Messemer teaches in the Urban Education: Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education Ph.D. Program at Cleveland State University, where he has refereed nearly 20 dissertations serving as the Chairperson or Research Methodologist. Dr. Messemer's research interests include: adult literacy, correctional education, educational program planning theory and evaluation, student satisfaction, teacher decision-making, and survey development.   

Prior to his work in adult, continuing and higher education, Dr. Messemer served as a Research Analyst and Data Systems Manager for the Department of Urology, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana.  While at Indiana University Dr. Messemer developed the largest U.S. research dataset for the study of Testicular Cancer.  Dr. Messemer co-authored numerous research articles in medical journals and co-authored numerous presentations at medical conferences that pertained to the topic of testicular cancer.

L. Claire Campbell PCC-S, ATR is an Adjunct Faculty member in the CASAL department as well as the Director of the Counseling and Academic Success Clinic at Cleveland State University. Claire completed her graduate training at Ursuline College receiving an Exceptional Research Award for her research thesis investigating female adolescent identity utilizing a feminist approach to art therapy. Claire is both a licensed clinical counselor and registered art therapist who uses relationship, language, art therapy, and mindfulness practices to guide her clinical counseling practice, supervision and teaching. Claire has presented workshops locally and nationally on trauma informed care, compassion fatigue, art therapy in relation to treatment and wellness practices spanning the past 20 years. Claire is an advocate for a holistic approach to counseling and sustainable treatment and wellness practices for clients, clinicians, colleagues and students alike. Claire also works in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio.

She completed her doctoral internship at The University of Oregon's Counseling and Testing Center where she focused on multicultural issues within the multicultural student services rotation. Elliott Ingersoll is a psychologist and licensed clinical counselor in Ohio. He is a professor of Counseling. He has authored or co-authored seven books and over thirty articles and book chapters on topics as diverse as integrating Integral theory into training mental health professionals, psychopharmacology, and spiritual approaches to counseling. Dr. Ingersoll consults with The Center for Leadership Maturity which uses Jane Loevinger's Ego Development theory to assist organizations.  He has studied and practiced Eastern and Western spiritual and physical practices. He works as a musician part time and has recently begun exploring theater.

Dr. Dakota King-White joined CSU in fall 2016 in the Department of Counseling, Administration, Supervision, and Adult Learning (CASAL). Within the department she is a core faculty member and coordinator of school counseling in the CACREP-accredited counseling program. Prior to coming to CSU, she received her Ph.D. in 2012 in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Toledo. She has an extensive background in working in K-12 education where she has served as a school counselor, mental health therapist, and administrator. 

Dr. King-White studies the psychological, emotional, and behavioral effects of parental incarceration and strategies to developing mental health models in K-12 schools. Through her research she has designed a group counseling curriculum for children of incarcerated parents, which has been implemented within K-12 education. Her most recent tool for children of incarcerated parents is a children¿s book, Oh No! When a Parent Goes Away.  She has also created a mental health model that is used in K-12 education to help address the mental health needs of students within the academic setting. The model is an interdisciplinary approach to addressing mental health needs within schools. Dr. King-White is passionate about children succeeding and believes that ALL students can succeed if given the right tools and opportunities.

Dr. Stacey Diane A. Litam a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Nationally Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) with experience in agency, college, and community mental health settings. Dr. Litam currently works as an LPCC at a Northeast Ohio agency where she provides counseling services to survivors of sex trafficking, persons with addictions, and LGBTQ clients. Dr. Litam has facilitated over 50 state, national, and international presentations on topics related to sex trafficking, integrating creativity with diverse populations, decolonizing the model minority stereotype, and the influence of internalized racism and intra-ethnic othering on Asian American adult identity development. She is a researcher, educator, and social justice advocate on topics related to human trafficking, human sexuality, LGBTQ+, and multicultural issues.

Dr. MacCluskie is the Chairperson of the CASAL Department at Cleveland State University, and has been a full-time Counselor Educator at CSU since 1994.  She has a lengthy history of working with people in helping capacities across many types of institutions.  These include working in several residential and out-patient public and private community agencies and the Federal Prison system.  A recent sabbatical in Kenya was a pivotal event in her professional development as she became even more acutely aware that the disparities in human rights, social justice, access to resources, and access to power, are unquestionably problems that extend far beyond water contamination in Flint and the economic depletion of our Rust Belt in the Great Lakes Region.   Her career has been focused on pedagogy and student development, and these themes continue to inform her work, on a grand scale; her current professional goals are promotion of health and sustainability for the entire biosphere.

Dr. Ingrid Hogge is an Assistant Professor in Counseling, Administration, Supervision, and Adult Learning (CASAL). She has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Southern Illinois University. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the University of Florida Counseling and Wellness Center. Her dissertation focused on a revised measure of male rape myths -- stereotypical beliefs about sexual assault against men. She is currently working on projects related to (1) the relationships among cultural variables and coping after trauma, (2) culturally informed suicide prevention, (3) international psychology, and (4) scale development. Dr. Hogge has experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods. She has published in journals such as The Counseling Psychologist, Journal of Counseling Psychology, and The Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development. She enjoys collaborating on research and is looking forward to developing a research team with CSU students. She also enjoys working with clients at university counseling centers. Her clinical interests include trauma recovery, immigration experiences, graduate student well-being, and interpersonal process groups. Dr. Hogge is active in APA's Division 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology).

Dr. Julia Phillips is an Associate Professor and Director of Doctoral Studies for the Urban Education Ph.D. program in the College of Education and Human Services. She is also Director of Training for the APA-accredited Counseling Psychology specialization of the Ph.D. program in Urban Education.  She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1992 after completing her internship at Michigan State University Counseling Center. She is licensed as a psychologist in the State of Ohio and worked in university counseling centers prior to joining the faculty at Cleveland State University. In her previous position, she was the training director of an APA-accredited psychology internship at The University of Akron Counseling Center for over 10 years. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and active in leadership activities with Division 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology). Currently, she is the President-Elect for the Council of Counseling Psychology Training Programs.
