 GENERAL CAREER DAY INFORMATION

During the spring semester, we provide our students with an opportunity to prepare for employment as they complete their education and training and enter the teaching profession.  Our career day is split into two sessions: a morning and an afternoon session.

The morning session may include topics such as resume writing, interviewing, applying for licensure through ODE, substituting, and mental health.  In addition, administrators from local districts and CSU alumni are invited to speak.

The afternoon includes a career fair featuring area school districts.  This gives our students an opportunity to network with potential employers. The goal is to give districts direct access to our graduating students and assist with their hiring process.

We encourage all of our students, from all licensure areas, to attend.  This includes Practicum/Internship 1 students, who are still one semester away from graduating.  Students should come prepared and dressed appropriately for an interview.
