Early Childhood Network

Led by Pat Barto --- former teacher, principal and director of Early Childhood for CMSD --- the ECN gathers teachers from Pre-K through third grade to come together and share in the latest research and activities around the topics that drive early childhood instruction. Whether it is the use of Common Core language standards in the classroom to specific lesson plans that can be used immediately in school, the ECN is a great place to learn about new ideas and share great practice with teachers who are some of the best in the area.  In the past we have had speakers on the latest in technology and various local community resources, as well as a poet and our own “library lady,” Sue Kirschner, who brings the best in toys and books from the CCPL.

Please join us for this year’s two meetings that will focus on vocabulary and creativity. Meetings will be held at the CCPL Snow Road branch, 2111 Snow Road, Parma.  We start at 4:00 with dinner and end by 7:00. Along with great ideas for lessons and many websites and books to enrich your instruction, you will leave each session richer in knowledge (and with several books for your own collection).

So come join your fellow early childhood teachers and spend some time honing your skills and learning about what is new and trending in EC education.

DATES: October 1, 2015 and February 4, 2016
