Dr. Regina Giraldo-Garcia and doctoral candidates Mamta Roy and Hatem Alotebi presented papers at the E-Learn 2014 - World Conference on E-Learning  in New Orleans, Oct. 27-30.  Giraldo-Garcia and Roy presented a paper titled "Empowering minority students through mentorship and technology" The two of them joined Alotebi to present yet another paper – "Examining the use of blended learning to enhance students’ Critical thinking skills".

Giraldo-Garcia teaches Educational Research in the Department of Educational Studies, Research and Technology. In addition, Roy presented a paper she co-wrote titled "Online Learning and the Gifted Student".  It was written with Dr. Daniel L. Winkler, coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Program in the department.
